Refurbishing the Historic Utah Southern Railroad Depot

One of our recent projects was refurbishing the Historic Utah Southern Railroad Depot. The Historic Depot, built in 1873, is on the National Historic Register of Places and is one of two (2) two-story wooden train depots surviving west of the Mississippi River. R.J. Stice was Station Master of the Depot for 11 years, from 1904 to 1914. He and his family lived upstairs. From 1974 to 2000, it was relocated to a property about eight blocks north. It was then relocated back to its original location on State Street in 2000 and dedicated in 2001. Smart Choice Painting & Remodeling was happy to spearhead the refurbishing of this local landmark.
